The Climate Ride
Join the City of Warsaw, Ministry of the Environment, the city’s cycling community and delegates at the COP19 for “The Climate Ride” on Saturday November 16th in Warsaw.
The Climate Ride is organised by the City of Warsaw, supported by SLOCAT and the European Cyclists’ Federation to
- highlight the positive steps taken by the City of Warsaw to integrate cycling into its sustainable mobility planning.
- support Transport Day at COP on November 17th.
- enjoy the City of Warsaw by bicycle, sharing a break from conference proceedings and celebrating the role of the bicycle in sustainable mobility.
- help networking between supporters of sustainable transport at the local and global level.
Thanks to the invitation of the President of Warsaw Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz delegates and visitors are invited to join the ride at Bankowy Square at 11:30 a.m. where guests can collect free bicycles from Veturilo, the popular city bike sharing scheme of the city.
The route will go through Slasko-Dabrowski Bridge, Jagiellonska and Zamoyskiego streets and will end next to the COP venue National Stadium at 12.00 where there will be a press conference.

On the same day at 1.00 PM the City of Warsaw is pleased to invite you to attend opening day at wastewater management plant Czajka – one of the most advanced and largest investment project of its type in Central and Eastern Europe.
A special, eco-friendly bus will depart from the bus stop Washington Roundabout (next to National Stadium, towards the bridge). The Walking tour will take approximately 60 minutes. The return journey is planned to start at 3.15 PM.
