On Saturday, November 16th the City of Warsaw, together with European Cyclists' Federation and SloCaT partnership, organized a Climate Ride. The event took place as a part of the UN climate summit and the Transport Day planned for November 17th. The Ride was attended by over 60 cyclists including COP19/CMP9 delegates and city residents. The event started at Plac Bankowy and had its finish at the city bike sharing scheme Veturilo station near the National Stadium.
Throughout the COP19/CMP9 Climate Change Conference in the corridors leading to the the plenary rooms you can enjoy a photo exhibition of John Walencik "ARBORES VITAE - The last European primeval forest." It consists of unique pictures of the last temperate zone lowland primeval forest in the world - the Bialowieza Primeval Forest.
Upon the initiative of H. E. Mr. Marcin Korolec, President of COP19/CMP 9, on Friday, 15 November, the Polish Humanitarian Action will organize a Public Charity collection for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
